Morning after breakfast, drive to the Ardoukoba area to visit the part of Danakil depression in Djibouti. The last big volcano eruption in Djibouti was Ardoukoba which means in Afar “flooding”. It happened in November 1978. Right now there is no active volcano in Djibouti, but the extension of the Danakil depression is in Eritrea and in Ethiopia, over there, the volcano Ertale is active. After taking awesome pictures from Ardoukoba region, drive to Ali Sabieh for lunch break and for photographing the town too. Afterwards, drive to Lac Abbeh for visiting the chimneys and explore the area until the sunset, dinner.
