Railway

Kenyan rail transport consists of an old metre-gauge network and a brand new standard gauge railway (SGR). Both railways pass through Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, and link the country’s main port city of Mombasa to the interior. The metre-gauge network crosses the Ugandan border, while the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway ends in Suswa, and provides passenger service between Mombassa and Nairobi.

The new SGR Nairobi Terminus is a station within the capital city center and is connected to the old Nairobi station by a metre-gauge commuter train.

Bus

Kenya’s road system is well-developed and spans the majority of the country as well as all major cities. As a result, the majority of public transportation is on wheels, with road transport accounting for roughly 80% of national internal passenger traffic. Buses and coaches are available for inter-city travel, and Nairobi has a well-developed and efficient municipal bus system.

Flights

There are several direct flights to Kenya from Europe, the United States, Asia, and other African countries. Currently, Ethiopian Airlines flies to Nairobi and Kenya daily throughout the week. The national courier, Kenya Airways (KQ), flies between the major tourist destinations in the country.
