Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport terminal and get transferred to a traditional restaurant for breakfast. Try typical Ethiopian food (including Enjera) and get guided on how to traditionally eat the food. Then, drive to the National Museum of Ethiopia for visiting the long-age history and the oldest human ancestor, Lucy. Set within Haile Selassie’s former palace and surrounded by the beautiful gardens and fountains of Addis Ababa University’s main campus is the enthralling Ethnological Museum. Even if you’re not normally a museum fan, this one is worth a bit of your time – it’s easily one of the finest museums in Africa. Lunch and a coffee ceremony will be provided in a traditional Ethiopian restaurant halfway through the tour.
Afternoon, go to three different traditional restaurants in Addis Ababa and taste different types of traditional food while getting to know the culture of Ethiopia. In the evening your driver will take you for dinner at the Yod Abyssinia restaurant, to experience great food and try your hand at Ethiopian traditional dancing or ‘Eskista’ as it’s known locally. Finally, the tour ends with a transfer to Bole Airport.
