Although Kenya is mostly known for its thrilling wildlife safaris and game reserves, this amazing country also has a long stretch of stunning coastline, running alongside the Indian Ocean. As a result, Kenya has a plethora of beautiful beaches unique to the eastern Africa region. Whether you are looking for water sports, seclusion, or simply stunning views, Kenya really does have a place for everyone. Near Mombasa, there are quiet, scenic beaches like Nyali, or visitors can try surfing at Diani beach.

In Eritrea, Massawa, situated on the Red Sea, is the departure point for trips to the remote but stunning Dahlak Archipelago. This unknown paradise consists of two large and 124 small islands. The closest island, Dissie Island, is one and half hours from the mainland by speedboat.

In Djibouti, as well as regular tours to the North visiting pristine, volcanic salt lakes and lava fields, there are beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Tajur and around the Bab el Mandeb Strait which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
